FSW's Member of the Month is Jamaal Holland!

FSW Member of the Month for June, 2022 is Jamaal Holland

Jamaal Holland has distinguished himself in the one year he has served as a Youth Detention Worker at the Monroe County Children's Center. He had previously worked with children with developmental disabilities at Easter Seals for ten years. In addition to his service to the community working with children, Jamaal has taken on the role of Steward at the Center and has done an excellent job. Here is what one of his nominator's had to offer about him:

"I am nominating Jamaal Holland for all his hard work, dedication and taking on the role as Union steward at the Children's center. Over the past nine months Holland has shown amazing growth and is a great role model to the youth here at the detention center. When the children's center was short-staffed, Holland stepped up to the plate and volunteered, saving other staff from countless mandates. Jamaal Holland has been much help with union issues and concerns, keeping us updated with what's going on. He is an outstanding YDW and a pleasure to work with."

Please join us in congratulating Ksenija Vukelic on this well-deserved honor!
