Doris Betances has worked at Monroe County DHS for 19 years. She is currently a Senior Examiner in the SNAP Unit. Doris is being nominated for this honor as she not only donates her time to supply her co-workers with the necessary fuel to get through the work day, she does it while also caring of the animals in our community. Doris runs the "snack cabinet" on the 5th floor at St Paul St, using her own time to purchase and restock the yummy supplies. She donates 100% of the proceeds to numerous organizations in the area including: Rochester Animal Services, Keller's Kat Rescue, Lollypop Farm, Rescue Pit, Rochester Hope for Pets, and Greyhound Adoption.
